Nanoro M

NANORO M - Fully automated microscope:
Ergonomics, comfort and precision

The Nanoro M was built around the unique optical properties of the microsphere for optimal use of the SMAL lens. It is equipped with the Aerotech ANT95XY stage, offering a scan and motion range of 50 mm with a resolution of 5 µm and extraordinary repeatability. With its optical block mounted on a Marzhauser linear stage, the Nanoro M provides a vertical travel of 60 mm at high speed with a minimal step size of 100 nm. The system is controlled by a highly reliable Marzhauser joystick, allowing precise and smooth motion in X, Y, and Z axes with adjustable speed.

General specifications

50 mm x 50 mm scan acheived through high-precision image stitching for large area scanning. 60 mm Z travel with 100 nm precision, enabling ultra-fine focus control essential for super-resolution imaging. High-performance CMOS camera delivers real-time, true-color imaging with sub-100 nm resolution. White LED provide bright, uniform white-light illumination ensuring stable, low-heat lighting optimal for sensitive samples.
Iris Motion System
The microscope features motorized iris control, enabling precise alignment of the microsphere with the illumination beam. This ensures stable and repeatable near-field coupling, which is critical for achieving consistent super-resolution performance.

Nanoro Software Suite

Its unique specification made the Nanoro Generation not only a super resolution microscope but a remarquable lab tool to any who need a robust and reliable scanning optical microscope offering incredible imaging features.

The Nanoro Generation can also be customized for mid-IR applications.

General specifications

25 mm x 25 mm scan acheived through high-precision image stitching for large area scanning. 40 mm Z travel with 100 nm precision, enabling ultra-fine focus control essential for super-resolution imaging. High-performance CMOS camera delivers real-time, true-color imaging with sub-100 nm resolution, visualized on a 23.5” ultra-HD display. Cold white LED provide bright, uniform white-light illumination ensuring stable, low-heat lighting optimal for sensitive samples.
Blue Mode Illumination

By applying narrowband blue light (440–460 nm), we exploit the wavelength-dependence of resolution, boosting image contrast and revealing finer nanoscale features down to 60 nm reducing the bridge between optical microscopy and electron microscopy.

Targeted spectroscopy

One of the key innovations of the Nanoro Generation is the integration of spectroscopy. By leveraging the system’s ultra-short working distance and inherently small field of view of the SMAL lens, Nanoro enables highly localized, targeted spectroscopic analysis—focusing on regions as small as 1 square micron or less.

Iris Motion System

The microscope features motorized iris control, enabling precise alignment of the microsphere with the illumination beam. This ensures stable and repeatable near-field coupling, which is critical for achieving consistent super-resolution performance. Additionally, the optical system is designed to use the iris diaphragm as an active contrast enhancement mechanism across all objective magnifications—4×, 10×, 20×, 60×, and 100× (with or without immersion)—delivering optimal image clarity and contrast under a wide range of optical conditions.
